BIG support for this! I'm playing Gauntlet a ton and trying to formulate a guide to help the community. It is SO frustrating to realize the best or most optimal build includes KS or otherwise limited companions.
The KS companions are going to always have value via their rarity and exclusivity. They do NOT need power or to provide any gameplay advantage that the majority of players cannot access. Or can only access by paying out for a limited item.
As a KS backer, I want familiars with 1:1 stats/abilities/synergies available for ALL users asap. This is perfect for another pebble sink, too. It is also a pretty easy add, given it will not change anything in the game balance to simple clone these units with new artwork.
The only thing I would be against is straight up "recolors" of the KS companions for the purpose of this, that always feels like it actually cheapens the original companions. Even something like unqiue "shadow" or "mimic" versions would be better than that, in my humble opinion.
MAJOR support, especially for a pebble sink. (Though ms might be okay down the line if the devs intend to enact major improvements with currency balance.) The gameplay advantage these guys give is real. I use a Simbur and Vespen for campaigning and gauntlet and they've made most combat content very easy. I could see 1:1 mechanical counterparts being incredibly desirable, and a hefty pebble pricetag would be a great way to justify it. TBH, I don't have strong opinions on how these KS companion variants should look though. As with the Golden Bantam Fangar on FR, people are always going to want/value the rarer version more even if it's just the same pet in a different color.
