The Elders really thought going with a younger mate this time would aide in a more timely next geneation, but they forgot to consider the hard-headedness of some of the younger pups. And, it felt like this pair was delaying having a litter out of spite! But finally Charlie & Karya conceived and after what seemed like an eternity, the next generation was born. The Elders decided the two new pups were worth the wait! They were much stronger than generations of the past and much more attractive too! They draw you in from the moment you set eyes on them.
The battle between the pups was long and hard-fought. Eventually pup 1 was declared the victor. She has been named Karie. Her poor brother hangs his head in shame being beaten by a girl lol.
The Elders searched high and low for a mate for the new heir. One they hope will produce in a timely fashion and improve their lineage, as well.
They found young Lyros, with his lyrical voice of an angel. He is quite beautiful, although that is to be expected coming from a mom that lives on Mount Olympus! His dad was quite a fright though, and came upon the village during one of his raids and decided to take a little pleasure along the way. And, apparently left a little gift behind.
Considering the Elders goals, they found this a perfect combination. Beauty, strength, and inducing fear, they hope. The young pup's clan was banishing him from their lands anyway ... you can't have anyone less than godly living on Olympus.
The Elders never expected Lyros to be so similar to their heir...(down to having the exact same genes -Merle/Timber/Cozen). They realize this could go either way. Two peas in a pod or brutal enemies. Only time will tell.
