So uh, this might be a little weird, but I would actually love a werewolf based breed, or basically a beastly biped lorwolf breed. Still hunched over with more animal features than human, so not fully upright plantigrade, but like… a raccoon almost, where they got hand-like front paws but normal back paws and likely still run and traverse largely on all fours, but CAN stand up and grab things.

Some examples of what I mean:

A wolf with hands would be an ideal mining wolf.

Support! Though I'd prefer something a bit more hunched and looking like it spends more time on all fours than the example images in the OP. Maybe a little closer to something like this type of posture?

Ideally I would love if maybe one pose was standing and the other was down so we could get a sense of how the breed moves from the artwork.

(edit: I suppose considering the below posts I should add that my support is contingent on it actually looking like a wolf and not a wolf-man. I just sort of figured that would be a given, and that ‘werewolf’ was just being used to describe the concept in the broadest of terms T_T I don't consider the ability to go temporarily bipedal to make something inherently humanoid, and lorwolves are already completely humanized in their lore, so I think a breed with dexterous front hands would be neat and could easily still look beastly enough to fit with the other breed designs. Like.. to compare with Flight Rising, they have several breeds where one pose is on all fours and the other is up with hands that looks like they could manipulate tools. I'm basically casting my support for the wolf version of that)

I would prefer not to have a humanoid type of collectable pet. There's a LOT of implications there I don't want to get into, but they just don't feel right.

I wasn't sure how to word it myself but I agree with Synesthesia here, even though the concept itself is cool, certain implications are very questionable.

Apart from that- LW itself seems to be anti-humanoid in it's design philosophy, so I don't think this would happen!

Aesthetically I'd love to say yes, but I do agree that it would feel a bit weird to pair a humanoid-looking wolf creature with one that… looks like a normal, feral coyote even if lorwolves are canonically sapient.

A good compromise might be a bulky, monstrous-looking wolf type with some hallmarks of werewolf designs (more hand-like forepaws, the back hunch) but still keeps a more lupine body shape even if its capable of standing on its hindlegs?

i'm agreeing with Synesthesia and Lai with the implications of more humanoid breeds, that and i'm not sure if werewolf creatures would fit into the game with the other feral breeds. HOWEVER i would love a breed with the same capability of standing upright/being plantigrades like raccoons & bears. thats awesome!
