hello! welcome to my slightly deranged thread where I try to see if a maned wolf subspecies (??) is possible in our future with the bracchus we have!

so I'm starting out with considering a situation where there… are no bracchus scrolls. I'm not that rich and unless some kind soul who's also planning on making a maned wolf pair scrolls em for us, we work with the guys we have up in FM.

This is a completely free to join discussion- considering someone with the money might actually be able to carry it out instead of me lmao- and will probably take a few months to actually even try to start carrying out, considering bracchus are,,, so expensive rn.

So you're just trying to find out if someone has already created a Braccy Pair in Maned Wolf Colors, right?
I would actually be really surprised if someone has NOT done this… 🤔

Have you browsed any of the Braccy Pups for sale, yet?
(They're expensive.)
But there might be some in the right color range- Worth a check!

I would also set up a “Demo” of the exact colors, or range of color, and patterns you are looking for…

There's potential someone has the right colors and patterns- But on the wrong breed too.
So looking for a Braccy Stud could also be an option!
(You'd just have to hope you get a lucky litter.)

This Braccy Pup (Listed at 500 MS) seems to have the correct colors!
The only issue is the Fur Patterns.

BUT if you Demo the patterns into “Maned”…

by far the closest candidate I've seen so far (@heemi hope you don't mind the mention, your progen are beautiful!) he's currently extremely close to the desired colors considering the violet accent circles back around quite close to the black on top of the color wheel!

@lily also has BEAUTIFUL progen that actually took my breath away (once again apologies for the tag if you're uncomfortable with it!).

these two or any future children from these guys could most likely make one parent maned wolf after a few nests; if the violet and brown accents meet in the middle to get a whitish color that is- so hopefully one day I'll have saved enough to try for it!

@Poe AAAAA omg I hadn't seen that pup yet, you're right! and no even I was surprised by the lack of the funny legs wolf pups- which is why I've set up this thread lol! I'll go contact the owner for sure to see if I could get a hold or a ping for their next litter,, though we will need two for a breeding pair!

You could use volmyrs strategically to help get the braccs you want, too. I don't have any plans of changing up this girl of mine, but putting her in demo and switching everything to bracc/maned gives something very close to a maned wolf

Similar colours but with a white under might be even closer depending on what you have in mind. I don't think this is an unusual colour scheme (the pups can just run a bit pricey this early into the game), so finding one like her and making her a vol is an option if you can't find enough braccs to get closer to your desired range.

@Quid omg you're right I did forget about the volmyrs! and yes I'll keep an eye out for wolves of that scheme- do please ping me if you're ever selling/get pups in that color range from her!

@teethbared - I have a Braccy but she is FAR from natural colors- So I don't think she'd be a lot of help ;v;

But yeah! The natural colored Vols that were suggested are a GREAT IDEA! I think a lot of people are doing Fruit Bat Colors? Which are around the same range as the Maned Wolves!

@Teethbared I have a somewhat natural G3 Bracchus if you're trying to get one to breed! His colors are somewhat close to what you're looking for, but his base and under are pretty far. the odds of a kit with a bracchus getting bracchus pup(s) is fairly low, but I'll toss that I have this stud that has good colors for a project like this.

Hello. am a Maned Wolf fan but a rather forgetful one….oops on me! I wanted to post here to get my ‘return ticket’ punched so I can find this thread.

I want to help. What ranges in colors would be needed? I have enough gems to make a Volmyr and I also have one - yes ONE - of the infamous bracchus scrolls in my possession. If we can find the perfect wolf volunteer to breed baby Maned Wolves I'm ready.
