I sent him back after just chillin' message before looking so this is him en route after apparently refusing to smelt a copper bar, however i went from 0/3 smelt to 3/3 when i checked on him and he's only missing 13 ores instead of 15?
Ran into the same issue with my copper ore. I'm using a windows laptop with firefox.
Had the same thing happen to me (Win 10 desktop with Firefox), but I'd note that I have had this happen in the past once or twice as well. Possibly relevant- I very recently expanded the minecart's capacity.
(Of note, going to an area and then immediately returning does fix this, but it also burns 50 stamina so that's… suboptimal)
Editing to add- dropping an ore also made the system recognize I had enough iron, when this happened again.
I also ran into this issue: I had 10 copper and 5 iron ores, and when I came back the bars had been smelted but some ore still remained in the cart.
