I'd love a Nordic inspired breed, such as taking Hati and Skoll as inspiration! Could lean into a more celestial type vibe, with their fur being longer and kinda curly (almost wispy at the tail). Main body could be based off the Norwegian wolf (VERY chubby cheeks, probably would be shorter and stockier than Lupin to differentiate)

Breed Suggestions

Wolves based on other animals in the caniformia tree.

And maybe adding lighter fantasy features.

Such as

Bear-Dog (Amphycion)

Would be a big and bulky breed. Rectangular shaped face and body, with big paws and claws. Long slender tail

Maybe call it Berserker (made me think of bear berserkers in norse mythology)

Otter/Seal

Base for an semi aquatic breed for mistvale. Give it very short legs a long body and small ears.

Raccon/Red panda

For an arboreal species. Long tail somewhat shorter legs. Maybe add 2 tails for extra balance and a nudge towards kitsune.

I keep thinking of the antler mutation(especially on puppies) as antenna so I think it'd be awesome to have an antenna mutation!

And with that, some moth/butterfly based patterns would be so cool!

I don't doubt that Mistvale will be open soon, and want to suggest the concept of the New breeds.

It is all suggested? but why? it will rely on the breed-able abilities/ and their form.

-Mythical breed concepts are Wolves that derived form the creator's ability. what they are arrived to help the predicament of LW world. or, might mythical breeds are development breed that they are partially influenced with spirit wolves. concepts could be variant (mythical canids are really a lots in our human cultures such as winged fox in chinese culture.- ex) 獙獙 ) . but i want to suggest mythical breeds are compatible with modern breeds due to they are not distorted.

-Modern breeds : Some modern breeds they are influenced by real world concepts. African wild dogs or other wild canids are cool, (adding my opinion, How about Common Raccon Dog? they are canid also. anyway.)

-Consumed Breeds: The breeds who are derived from the Misvale, Elderwolves who succumbed to Korvo's intimidation. In this cases, Consumed Breeds must breedable between their "Species" Rather than breeding. i will explain why. Korvo's ability was restoration. but he was eroded by Chaos, and the ability also distorted , and combine the creatures between wolves. So, This concept will be make Wolves available such as "Feathered Wolves" or "Pangolin Wolves" or "Underwater formed wolves" Genes could be really variable some specific concepts but they are incompatible between other species due to their form and biology is altered by Korvo's distorted ability. (Consumed breeds could considerable after Specific Raid/ Events, of course. to attend Users. like defeat some amount of enemies with guilds.. etc.)

[Patterns]

Mythical breeds with mythical patterns. if Mythical breeds and Modern breeds are compatible, also modern breeds could inherit the genes. i want to suggest some sort of Not-realistic genes such as star/galaxy things but that will be awesome to the wolves.

Breed Suggestions:

• Hyena - Okay, okay. We all know hyenas aren't caniformia, but rather feliformia, but having some hyena-inspired wolves would be really cool considering we got some lynx/saber-dire hybrids.
• Raccoon Dog - I just want some fluffy, smaller-eared dudes.
• Arctic Fox - Again. Fluffy little dude, tiny little ears.

Pattern Suggestions:

• Hyena - Spotted, striped, or both.
• Raccoon Dog - Self-explanatory. Not patterned like a true raccoon, but the canine breed.

I have an idea for a set called 'solid' which simply makes the gene become solid as if if were in the base color slot

it's like the reverse of plain, instead of having nothing you have all of it

i imagine it'd be easier to add just because it wouldn't require any new art

It'd open up the niche of hiding bases the same way we hide other spots with plain, plus you could technically have a solid looking wolf with secret genes underneath if that happens to be your thing.

The only downside is that it isn't really a cohesive set. Compared to plain which works together just because they only remove their specific parts, solid would cover everything up and theres technically no good reason to use it for every slot besides breeding purposes.
