I would love to see skunk / badger patterns
I also really, really need a foo dog breed, lovely mane, big fangs, bulky body...I NEED IT...but I want a big fluffy + bulky breed in any case

Wanted to voice support for a low opacity/transparent set of markings! I think a "wash" of color would be really dynamic from a layering standpoint and I would generally love some softer/lower coverage options in all slots!
ACCENTS:
1) Blush
(a suble accent that adds a circle on the wolf's cheeks)
2) Little stripes
(a subtle accent that adds little stripes on the nose, front of the legs and back of the tail)
UNDERS:
3) Splash
(Looks like the horse Splash marking, concentrated in the front, not located in the back)
4) Gradient
(An under that is a soft gradient on the belly +neck, tail underside and leg backside)
5) Tipped
(Face blaze + leg socks × tail tip)
Beep Boop
Thought of a bioluminescent accent / something that glows in any way would be really fun

Suggestion:
"None" or "Basic" markings (or basically adding the ability to remove markings or otherwise making them invisible)
other people have said kitsune but a cool mechanic would be for them to start off looking like a kit pup and growing into a full nine tailed adult with a draining attack that heals itself and a special that heals others. A fairy fox with flowers as part of the genes make it as ethereal and elegant as possible standard attack heals special a crit or a means via roots to prevent an opponent from attacking for a few turns, a smoky canine that seems made of smoke maybe a special attack that involves leaving burns that do continuous damage.
Suggestion: German Shepherd markings! Specifically, on some of the dogs, the black marking on their foreheads can look like a bird, and I think that could be a fun option~

I'm gonna throw my opinion into the well here and vote for 'no dog breeds'. It's lorewolf, not lorepet. I'd like to see wild breeds like jackal, wild dog, hyena, dingo, bush dog, dhole, artic fox, bat eared fox, heck even a raccoon dog. Even if you wanted to go more mythical like the volymer and make a dire wolf or mer-wolf, that's cool. I *do not* want a golden retriever/poodle in my clan.
I'm only here to second a bunch of things people have already said because they are awesome ideas that should come to light. Hope that's okay.
Patterns:
-Basic/Nothing: PLEASE. I am having to breed a bunch of doubles and triples just because I want to hide markings I don't need. It's kinda weird a blank gene wasn't here from day 1.
-Fur (Accent layer). I see lots of dogs and plushies that have a secondary colour sprinkled throughout their main body rather than just having a solid body colour. Being able to emulate that would be great.
Breeds:
- Dire wolf. Gimme that ancient boi. Massive and rugged and scary!
- Multiple headed doggo
Both?
- African Wild Dog. It's probably possible to approach this as a breed or a pattern set. Either would be great.
