Adding my support for a Tint or wash gene. Sometimes one color kind of ruins the whole wolf. But having a away to embrace the meh color would be so much fun. Also really dynamic for what a wolf could look like!
Would absolutely love a glowing/bioluminescent gene!
Breed:
I've seen suggestions for dragon wolves, mer-wolves, and many others (all of which are great!) but… How about an absolutely tiny breed? Like, mouse-sized. (Mouse-esque in their design, even?) I feel like these guys would be quite cute.

A new (old) player that's returning to the site after a long hiatus. Still learning how things work; please be patient! Friend requests are open!
It's been a few days since my last few suggestions and I've been thinking of stuff that would be fun so…here are 5 more suggestions for this page!
Ticking Pattern - Top or bottom colors are scattered in flecks across the base coat, condensing more closely to their respective positions (top or bottom).
Badger Pattern - Self explanatory, I trust the art team knows what badgers look like haha!
BORZOI BREED - Please I love these wooly lookin forest spirits.
Hooded Pattern - Inspired by hooded rats, the top coat would cover the entire head and a bit or all of the shoulders, with possibly a smaller portion along the back. Perhaps a small under that's like a little chest diamond with the accent covering the tail and the paws (much smaller area than maned or cozen).
Klee KaiMarkings - Was going to suggest Alaskan husky but these guys are much more consistent in their patterning. Top would creep down the nose with a tiny bandit mask over the eyes, also extending around the neck. Under would have two triangles above the eyes and be more of a face mask, letting the top or base cover the neck while it picks back up on the lower chest/inner legs. This one is very hard to describe but it's pretty specific, and idk what you'd do for the accent buuut…I can dream lol.
Apologizes if this was suggested already, but I think it would be very cool if we had a hound dogbreed. Their faces and ears are unlike any of the current Lorwolf breeds, which would make them a very distinct right off the bat. They are also a very common house pet, so many might want a Hound Dog breed if they are trying to create their IRL furry friends in game (this is one of the reasons I would personally want them). Also, I think an official Hound Dog breed would be cool, because through the NPCs Stella and Coco, we know that a hound dog breed must be canon to the world of Loria, but that breed is just currently unavailable to players.
Some breed suggestions that I haven't seen (I may have missed them?):
- Arctic fox (Those tiny fluffy ears! Should be a no-brainer.) - Golden retriever (Or literally any domesticated dog, but I think goldens are a fun, obvious choice.)
Some more fantastical wolfdudes would be awesome too:
- Barghest (Shadowy, sinister, smoke goblins) - Foo dog (Or something along those lines. I'm picturing more of an Okami vibe here.) - Merdogs (This one has probably been suggested already, but I'm super here for some fishbois.)
Additionally, a lot of great breeds have been suggested already, but I'd love to go ahead and second some of them!
-Tanuki (so cute and round) -African Wild Dog (fun shapes, pretty colors) -Saluki/greyhound (slendy and bendy) -Hellhound (hells yes!)
Here are some pattern suggestions that I've thought "dang I wish I had these" at least once:
A color-saver gene - I know others have likely mentioned this, but I feel like it can't be encouraged enough! A gene with low opacity or that covers only a minor accent area would be huge for most players both as a neat variety sort of thing as well as a quality-of-life improvement (everyone whose ever played a pet site like this has understood the frustration of that one horrid color layer that ruins the whole wolf!) Bonus points if it's one of the less-rare genes and is more affordable for everyone!
An under marking that is similar to the pattern of a doberman pinscher (with the two broad circle markings on the chest, as well as pretty much it's entire lower jaw - and let's not forget those eyebrows!)
And here are some random breed ideas and thoughts!:
A very short haired breed much like a Pharaoh Hound or a Dobermann (can you guess what my favorite dog breed is, haha!) Could be integrated into the 'hellhound' design I'm seeing a lot of people are interested in (yes please)!
What wolf game is complete without a Cerberus or Orthrus breed? To be honest, I'm leaning more towards Orthrus (two-headed) than Cerberus (three-headed) just to avoid potential clutter.
On the subject of mythical dogs, cù-sìth would be another awesome one, it's a fairy dog hailing from Irish folklore, and you could really integrate some cool flowery/leafy vibes into it's coat pattern!
Brindle- with all the color layers I think lorwolf might be the only petsite that could pull this off well as a set
Spotty Piebald, like on an English Setter or Pointer dog
Points that also cover the top of head and ears, like on a Bavarian Mountain Hound
Pigeon pattern. i think lorwolf has enough colors for it, between the base color, dark stripes on wings and tail, gray head and neck, and colored neck "accent"...
Bismarck masked flying fox pattern for the flying wolfs
