Ok now being serious, I've seen some good suggestions here and what I hope the devs understand is that we want the power to get a WW whenever want to get one, on top of being able to get them from exploring as well. Either letting us have multiple hunts going at the same time or letting us have an item that can guarantee a wolf from campaign or even something from our inventory are all good options. I think the hunt one and the item would be the best, otherwise if someone wanna ID hunt they'd need to sit all day on a WW encounter hoping to get that ID vs with hunts you could just generate 3-4 ww in a row, ask your friends to help you as well, and same thing applies for the craftable item like Gaia suggested.
I would outright prefer if we crafted an item with the pebbles and knucklebones. Way easier, quicker and I can bring in multiple WWs on masse.
The only way to create wolves on-command to hit a certain date or a specific ID is via breeding. I am a special ID collector and I would like that to change, as being able to get special IDs hinges on controlling when wolves are created.
Someone else said it before me, but WWs are inherently less valuable than FR G1s due to the five colour system Lorwolf has. Nicer G1s here are inherently rarer and the fact that there are no basic genes means that the colours are harder to work with, which again, contributes to nice WWs rarity. People are going to be constantly trying to get more, which is a good thing.
Don't try to make WWs more valuable than they are in this artificial manner of creating a series of barriers to entry. You are just stopping players finding a WW that they want to spend in-game and irl money on and also frustrating them. The extra influx of wolves will inevitably be released. I do think the releasing awards should be higher to give players a push in this direction, though. Chances at KBTs or ms shards as suggested in another thread would cause a very healthy drop in wolf population.
I think whatever it is, there needs to be a 100% guaranteed way to redeem the 50 knucklebones. Apparently people are already unhappy about needing 50 (which is a lot, so far I have 1 WW ever since they implemented the feature and 35 knucklebones). I think I'm personally ok with the token system needing 50, because I would get 0 eggs drops on FR from spending the same amount of time. I just don't think it's necessary to put grind on top of grind for the PITY SYSTEM. AKA the system that's meant to make you feel a little better about the grind.
I think since the hunting feature is enabled already, it would be a much simpler fix to just have it be a permanently available quest that doesn't take up the space of other quests.
I think it's also worth mentioning that I basically never interact with the gameplay systems on FR because it is just extremely unrewarding. I would never put a single penny into the site as a result. Even though I like the gameplay of LW a lot more, it's worth considering if many people would start feeling the same way about the WW system due to the continuous sense of disappointment with the failed encounters as well as the failure for the pity quest to show up
