Right now the Mining doesn't have a cooldown bar, and the Crafting does have one but there isn't a timer countdown on it despite other similar cooldown bars having it. Just seems like a kind of odd inconsistency tbh? I've thought about this, but I can't think of why they need to be different.

I don't know much about this sort of thing, but a mining timer might be complicated to implement since different equipment can change the work speed. I agree with what you're saying about crafting though.

They don't seem to have this problem with other mechanics, though, which is why it's odd.

The timer could be deducted by a different amount depending on the equipment, really the difference is just a displayed number- they already have the “depth” countdown in the top right… but it doesn't seem to be in real “seconds”. It's not a huge jump from the timer coding complexity they have already.
