Attention: Abundant Activities has begun!

I've definitely been trying to give the benefit of the doubt when I can, but I do have to agree that the communication could be better.

Even though the update got tweaked pretty quickly after player feedback, I think maybe a discussion, poll, or anything to just gather feedback beforehand might have been more beneficial

I dont have a lot to add besides this is absolutely needed. Im glad the response to the WW encounters and tokens was addressed swiftly, but swift responses like this don't fix the root of the issue.

let us know what you're up to. tell us future plans. If the playerbase does not trust you, the site will not last.

Seeing Quiche promoted to CM is great, but you cannot keep leaving your players in the dark like this!

agree that more communication is needed. The MS for upgrades / no useful pebble sinks issue is horrible for the economy, and the fact that it WAS pebbles before, and was changed with no comment, AND has still not been commented on whether it is being considered for changes is just giving a lot of people negative vibes.

i refuse to pay to play on a free game - but I would pay to support a free game that brings me joy. since FR is the largest marketshare in these types of games, I will provide an anecdote from their release: they had a TON of treasure (site currency) sinks, and pretty few gem (premium currency) sinks. This gave people a way to grind on site to get treasure and have that treasure actually be useful, and then also allowed people who didnt have time to grind to just buy premium currency and trade for treasure from those that did grind.

This type of model would be the gold standard - it should be spend money OR spend time, not force people to do both.

It's worrying. There's another petsite I play (sparingly now, mind you) that makes completely demoralizing changes at the drop of a hat and then scrambles to make things right with the playerbase. This will make people leave, and they will not come back if the game becomes a full-time job to progress. Sure, the fast adjustments are nice, but the initial change shows they are not considering what the people playing their game would actually like.

I 100% agree with this. I'm glad about the fast changes on the WW token, but I still don't like the pebbles cost (as others had said before me, we do need pebbles sink, but it should be the professions upgrades and not to use something obtained after days of grinding) and the food nerf (why, just why?).

Nothing to add to that, you have resumed quite well what I was thinking.

The only thing I could say is that I'm on the verge to quit myself. If some of you have read my resent posts, I guess you can see I'm getting more and more bitter. I don't have very much time to play, and the last update is a bit like the straw that broke the camel back. I feel like I'm being punished for not playing every second of the day. The pity token doesn't feel like something to help people like me getting WW and having some fun, it feels like a gift to people who have infinite time to play.

I really, really want to have some faith in this site surviving after spending the little disposable income I had for their KS, but I just… I'm getting fed up. I'm honestly considering quitting with the site continuing to go the way it is.

Why are some of these decisions being made? From the perspective of a F2P player, it looks like nothing more than continued cash grabs and punishments for playing without paying. Some of these changes just outright make it seem like they dont want people to even play! What's the point? You cant make any progress without 100s of ms, and the only place you COULD do anything without ms with any hope of getting something you could sell or trade to other players to get ms, farming in the Campaign for however long you had the time for, is now being punished.

This game isn't fun. It doesn't reward you for playing it, it only rewards you (and poorly so for how much you spend) if you pay cash.

I agree that communication is needed urgently as well to avoid making decisions (such as the moonstones for upgrades change) that hurt casual players. I tend to be a whale on sites like these (I think I've spent at least $1000 - $2000 on Flight Rising over the years). But the reason why I whale is because between my 5 million writing projects (both personal and professional) and my professional work & studies in law school, I wouldn't have space to be anything but a casual player with a smattering of cheap pets on any virtual pet website if I didn't pay big $$$ for all the most expensive ones. I am a zealous supporter of anything that makes it easier for casual players because 1) I care about people who can't pay the amounts I do, 2) I'm basically a casual outside my spending, and 3) anything that helps a casual player also helps whales because it means we have to pay less. And though I am enough of a simp to drop a huge amount of money even if a website has some flaws, I will not spend on a website that makes things too difficult for its casual players. Why? Because such a website doesn't have a future, plain and simple. Spending as much as I do is an investment in a website's future, an investment in my belief that the website will still provide value and fun to me for years to come. And because the majority of any playerbase tends to be those who are casual, I do not want to invest in a place that pushes people out by making gameplay inaccessible.

The gold standard of websites favoring casual players to me is Pixel Cat's End. Premium currency hasn't been released yet so I can't do my usual whale thing to grab all the nice pets & apparel. But the demands of the game are so little that I basically only log on to do my dailies every day and because of RNG I already have many valuable cats and a lot of rare apparel. I go adventuring like, a few times a month and already I'm sitting pretty on a hoard of more materials than I know what to do with, cats with decent stats and nice coat colors, all the clothes I'll ever need and plenty of things to decorate my scenery with. And the game's economy seems to be all right too! I'm not saying Lorwolf has to be that easy, but it should be easy enough that those without much time to grind can have just as much fun as those who have all the time in the world.

It's so bad, I regret dropping the money that I did on Moonstones honestly, and certainly won't be spending anymore until I see good faith changes that doesn't feel like a backhanded punishment.

So many things got punished in this latest update.

Arena ticket farming

Campaign first crossed swords farming

Pebble farming

Food gathering

Honestly campaign as a whole really? Which I don't get cause this was mind numbing enough but at least progress was being made. Now it's pointless to do campaign.

I was already burnt out of farming for more WWs but now I'm burnt on the game entirely. The cooking change is nice, but so small compared to the craters of harm they made in the process.
