Wait you ALSO decreased the food drop rates from Campaign? Sorry, but do you not want people to play the game? The food drops were enough to sustain 1 wolf for extended play while wild wolf hunting. So now there are less food drops, AND a decreased chance at wild wolf encounters? This is a huge misstep that I hope you'll reconsider.

From this update, it seems like you guys are intending to make wild wolves rarer than they already are, which is something I can understand on one hand, but very frustrating for those who depend on RNG because pebbles haven't been given enough value just yet. 100 bone fragments seems steep compared to the rate; I was expecting more like 30-50 for a challenge, but the system being implemented at all is definitely a step in the right direction!

I just don't agree with lowering the WW encounter rate, necessarily. Wild wolves will be placed on the flea market for higher moonstone costs, require even more moonstones to make a nice color, and be a high investment based purely on RNG. Meanwhile, those who don't have the income to purchase moonstones can work to get pebbles, but don't have a lot to spend them on, causing the moonstone to pebble ratio to continue increasing.

I'm hoping you guys will adjust the worth of pebbles by making more available to buy with them (such as other “genes” or patterns or breeds, maybe even the tokens themselves rarely?), and take a look at how players are feeling about the wild wolf encounters and adjust those as needed. I understand not wanting to have them super common, but I think it's difficult for new players right now, especially.

“Made food selection auto-fill the max amount in dropdown”

This makes cooking so much easier, thanks for the update.

It's really disappointing to see the wild wolf encounter rates and food drops nerfed - I barely encounter any wild wolves as it is, and don't have the hours and hours to spend grinding explore that finding a single wild wolf would now require. And won't be able to explore even casually with the nerfed food rates. The token system needs an absurdly high amount - it'll only make finding wild wolves more tedious and frustrating. A lot of the fun of this game was being able to explore - instead of new and interesting things to encounter, existing interesting stuff has been nerfed to the point where it's simply not fun anymore. If the rewards aren't worthwhile, there's little reason to play. :/

Not sure how I feel about the encounter rate being nerfed.

In one day, yes I got a lot more encounters than I had in beta… however, in the next day I really had 0 WW encounters.

I feel like the nerf is likely due to the luck rolls players had gotten within a few days, but problem is you have players who can only be online for a short time and the nerf kind of makes it harder on those players (depending on how much of a nerf it was)… which I know that WW encounters are supposed to be rare but still seems a tad steep on some things.

If the amount of new wolves in the game was a concern, breeding cooldowns could have been lengthened. Absolutely no reason to nerf wild wolves like this when they're already insanely rare. I joined on release and have played every single day since then, and have only claimed 2 wild wolves. A ridiculously low amount for how much time I've put into the game.

I know we were asking for a pebble sink or two, but I really don't think the WW hunting with knucklebones AND pebbles is the way to do it.

Reduced food rates also seem… counter intuitive when you have hunting take 500 food points in some cases, with chances to fail.

I am uneasy about how many knucklebones it takes for a WW. Especially cause the already low rate is now lower. I honestly think 5 knucklebones is enough considering the low rate. 100 is just….too much. Either change it to be around 5-25, or at least add more ways of getting knucklebone tokens other than failing WWs.

Reduced food rates also are a major bummer.

Honestly this entire update is a let down.

1, you're nerfing something that is already difficult for players who can't spend a ton of hours grinding and making it expensive to the point that the token system is basically worse than the previous WW state- which just feels like you're punishing players instead of encouraging.

2. Nerfing food quite literally makes doing anything impossible. You can't even fish without waiting an unreasonable amount of time and it taking energy- gods forbid you use that wolf for explore or guantlet because if you can't get enough food in explore then you're just stuck. Sure you can farm but it's a babysitting job constantly having to water and fertilize which many people just don't have the time or energy to do. And the grind for even encountering a WW? No longer worth even trying… exploring in general just seems redundant because it is now costing more than you're getting back from actually doing it + your time.

I try to always find the good side of things like this, but I can't seem to find a silver lining for the newer members coming into the game- they're quite literally locked from even playing the game without being able to get food sustainably for doing professions, locked behind MS paywalls for upgrades, can't grind for more wolves or trinkets to sell for more space reasonably… this entire update feels like a step backwards instead of forwards.

This only cripples the economy and community as a whole. I really hope you reconsider the nerfs or implement something to fix the problems it causes and listen to the community as a whole for the sake of the site continuing to grow.
