From this update, it seems like you guys are intending to make wild wolves rarer than they already are, which is something I can understand on one hand, but very frustrating for those who depend on RNG because pebbles haven't been given enough value just yet. 100 bone fragments seems steep compared to the rate; I was expecting more like 30-50 for a challenge, but the system being implemented at all is definitely a step in the right direction!
I just don't agree with lowering the WW encounter rate, necessarily. Wild wolves will be placed on the flea market for higher moonstone costs, require even more moonstones to make a nice color, and be a high investment based purely on RNG. Meanwhile, those who don't have the income to purchase moonstones can work to get pebbles, but don't have a lot to spend them on, causing the moonstone to pebble ratio to continue increasing.
I'm hoping you guys will adjust the worth of pebbles by making more available to buy with them (such as other “genes” or patterns or breeds, maybe even the tokens themselves rarely?), and take a look at how players are feeling about the wild wolf encounters and adjust those as needed. I understand not wanting to have them super common, but I think it's difficult for new players right now, especially.
