Unfortunately, I think this is where I leave the game. From feeling Lorwolf had a lot of promise in Beta, I have watched it steadily become less and less friendly for players who want to play casually. This has been a very discouraging experience and a sad end to my adventure here.
I dunno, I feel like this update is trying more to throttle the serious grinders than it is to help those of us who can only play casually. I understand a happy medium is difficult to attain, but this is most definitely nowhere near a happy medium. I genuinely do enjoy this game and I want to see it thrive, but in order for that to happen, I feel that you need to listen to your members more, and not just the grinders, but also the casual players.
The WW encounter rate already seemed fine to me, honestly. Yes, some people are more lucky than others, but that's just kind of how RNG is. You can't really control how RNG favors people (or doesn't). I hope you listen to the people who are giving feedback on this update and consider making more tweaks in the future.
ETA: I just noticed the updates made to the original post. I'm very glad to see you're listening to all of us! 50 bones and no reduced rate is much better, thank you for that.
Reducing the number of WW encounters would be okay if it was like, 2-5 tokens per WW. But ONE HUNDRED TOKENS? With REDUCED encounters?
I already had to grind for hours each day to get a handful of wild wolves…
What I will say is that I appreciate the pebble sink! Keep that and bump the WW encounter rate back to normal and it certainly won't be an overpowered trade with a 100 token cost.
Honestly, even increasing it to maybe 50kp, keep the new encounter rate and decrease the number of KBT to maybe 5-10 and that would feel more rewarding as a gradual success over the course of a lot (and I mean still A LOT) of grinding.
EDIT: Okay, phew, thank you for changing the WW encounters back. I know that 6ms LFM may seem low, but the variety and individuality of the WWs will provide value to that market, much like FR. WWs may be less rare than before with the KBT update and retained encounters, but DESIREABLE wild wolves are extremely rare thanks to the 5 colour system LW has. Plus 6ms is like 60g which is extremely expensive for a FR G1 that doesn't look good.
As many people have already stated, I am very confused why you guys nerfed wwe. It's already super frustrating to go all day hunting and have only a few encounters and even less successful befriendings. I also think the 100 knucklebones is a LOT to go through, especially now that you guys have dropped the encounter rate more. Do you only get one knucklebone per ww? If so, why do we have to go through 100 encounters before we can redeem them for a ww.
I feel the encounter rate should at least go back to the way it was and then drop the knucklebone requirement to at least 50, if not lower. I'm cool with the pebbles requirement though, we need more pebble sinks.
Another thing I am iffy about is the reduce food drops. I'm already spending a ton of time grinding for food so I can keep looking for wild wolves, and I feel that lowering food drop rates will make it more frustrating while hunting. I like being able to feed my wolves but I do admit I haven't tried hunting yet since the patch. We will see how the whole system works with the changes and I may end up eating my words.
Other than that, I am happy with the rest of the updates! I can't wait for the new chapters to come out and for more exciting new things to be implemented. I've been around since the kickstarter, and I love how.much this site has grown and the dedication everyone has to make this site the best it can be! Thank you all for working so hard!

Can I just say how happy I am to see how quickly staff seem to react to feedback! I know a lot of people are worried about a lot of things, but I feel this is a good sign in terms of game management. I wouldn't be surprised if further tweaks will be necessary in the future (either buff or nerf) to further balance everything. But so far, thank you! So much
thank you for reverting the WW encounter rates back to their original rates and reducing the token count to 50. that is going to help us casual players a lot.
I want to remain positive, but if this is the direction changes are going it's going to ramp up fast into a super grind-y game. Which isn't always a bad thing, but I think these particular changes may be discouraging based on the already sparse encounter rates. That's all I'll say.
