I have never encountered one yet. I'm on the bear quest in murkwood where I have to get honey from 10 of them.

I'm in the second set of swords area. Can I meet wolves here and is it a really rare chance for that to occur? Do I have to complete the quest first and then its possible to find wolves there?

How is anyone supposed to get more wolves if its so difficult to even find them? The ones on that market are so expense I almost fell on my back lol

you can find wild wolves in all areas of every pack except the very first area. if you scroll down a lil bit, you can see all the possible outcomes/events in a particular area of a map. I don't remember if you can find wolves during quests, so someone else will have to confirm that. ^^ it's a really low chance to befriend them, but you will get one eventually the more you play! don't give up. <3

I'm pretty sure I have gotten encounters while a quest was active ^^ Most people do run in either the area with the least amount of possible situations or with the most return on food. Just try out different areas and see what works out best! Doesn't matter what option(bark/wag) you pick, equal chances for both haha.
