I was playing the arena and doing really well (nearing 5 stars for all challengers) and then the screen just froze and says Victory (from previous play) and underneath it says starting…. but nothing happens. I’ve been waiting for It to start for 10 minutes. I was looking forward to getting the prizes….

I just had the same issue. I had to quit out of the match and I probably missed out on the prizes (I wasn't paying attention to how many tickets I had before).

This just happened to me! It has happened a couple of times before in the middle rounds, but after twenty-sixty seconds the battle does actually start (and it's not just on my end because the timer starts counting down from sixty, so I assume everyone else had the same issue or we wouldn't be in sync). This time, it was just me and one other human player left, and after around twenty seconds I spectated them in another tab and they were in another arena battle (against a new slew of humans/bots). I am unsure if they quit once the starting screen never stopped "Starting…", but if not, it's possible it was triggered by them leaving the match. Once I reloaded my page, I could see that I was the only person left in the game, but rip to my 5 tickets and 2kp, since it looks like I'll have to quit and forfeit my prize if I ever want to play another arena match. So close to victory yet so far -_-

But moving past that, I would like to raise the possibility that this is somehow caused by a player quitting the arena just before a new round starts (as this would throw off the matching, wouldn't it?), although it's just my one data point. I'll try to keep an eye out for factors if this happens again.

I had this once and eventually I refreshed and the battle said victory but with a new countdown and more paws. I don't know if the refresh fixed it or if it was going to start anyways and happened to start when I refreshed.

Ran into this bug today. I'm stuck in an infinite Arena game as the only player. The combat window is stuck on this screen that says “Starting…” but nothing is starting, and if I try to leave the match, I get a warning that I'll lose my tickets.
