I noticed that the “Recent Threads” box in the sidebar keeps gaining new pages, seemingly because it doesn't just list a few new threads, but actually lists every single thread made so far, just with the newest ones appearing first. It might work better to have it cut off at 2 pages or to show only one page with a few more entries on it.

I also think it would be nice to have a “Recent Posts" / “Recent Activity” box below Recent Threads that shows threads that recently had a post made in them. This would help users see where the talk is happening on-site right now, since forum threads currently don't list the date of the most recent post until you go into the thread itself and check. I imagine Recent Activity would be only a single page and only allow a single “entry” per thread at a time, just bumping back up the list if another post is made in it before it leaves the list.

I would love a modification to the list / a second list of recent posts, not just new threads. Really helps the community feel alive, and show where discussion is actively happening.
