Don't Allow Wolves to be Renamed to "No Name"

Petition to ban “No Name” and any variations as options when renaming wolves. It's possible that some people could intentionally (or unintentionally) buy or trade for a named wolf, rename it to “No Name”, then release said wolf.

Thanks!

Edit: To clarify by other variations I mean “N0 Name”. I think “Nameless”, “Unnamed” and other variations are still fine— as well as never changing the name to begin with.

yes please! and while we're at it, remove the possibility for naming them Unnamed and Unnarned also, so people can't skirt it using those either

No support, people should be able to name their wolves whatever they want. There should be a way to hide offspring lists, or to set nicknames for wolves on the offspring list which only appear on the owner's end or something like that, if having 'No Name'/'Unnamed' in the offspring list bothers you, but no support for making players unable to name their wolves certain things.

Absolutely no support.

Once a wolf leaves your den, it is no longer your wolf and you have no say in what someone does with it. There's nothing wrong with “No Name” and if they want to change a wolf's name to that, then that is there prerogative. If they then want to release that wolf with that name, that is also their prerogative. It is their wolf - we do not get to dictate how someone else chooses to play the game.

agreed with the above, plus it seems silly to target these names when there are countless other “unsightly” names one could give to a wolf. I wouldn't mind an option for tailoring an offspring list like siltfern suggested though

No support; I've definitely seen people on other sites purposefully name their creatures things like “Nameless” and “No Name” for the purpose of a character / theme or because they just liked it or found it funny. I would rather just have released offspring be removed from the list since they're functionally deleted anyway as far as I know?

I do like the idea of customizing/reordering the list of existing offspring. If we can gain the ability to “tailor” offspring lists in some way, I would definitely be less shy to breed my wolves, too. I'd be able to have a “canon offspring” and “non-canon” offspring section or something like that.

No support. Once it leaves, it's no longer yours. This discourse and the harassment that comes from not naming dragons or naming them things the parents' owner doesn't like is bad enough on FR and I really don't want to see it here, so huge support for being able to customize offspring lists early on in the game's life.

As much as I don't like to see “No Name” pups in my wolves' offspring list, I don't support this. A player might want to name a wolf “No Name”, “Nameless” and the like for lore reason and they should be able to do that.

I would like more something like siltfern and Tserin said, the ability to hide pups or nickname them in the list sounds good enough for this problem.

I agree with Hyatha, it's definitely ugly but if you don't want to risk having this problem then just don't sell the pups at all and release them. But people can't dictate what other people do with the wolf you just bought: the moment that the person buys the wolf they buy all the ownership over it.

So it's a battle between choosing lore for your wolves (and no unnamed baby) or if you have a breeding pair and don't care. On Flight Rising I simply don't breed my lore dragons for that reason.

No support. Sometimes I'm just trying to find the right name, so no name sits for the time being.
