OOC: I'm a HUGE fan of roleplaying, and while I'm waiting for more fishing turns I thought I would start an open role play! I find roleplaying is a great way to build relationships, not only with other players but also between characters. Feel free to come and go as you please! There's no issue with having your wolf exit stage left at any point. I've been a part of roleplay threads that have lasted years with people joining when they feel like it. I hope that this thread has the same success and welcoming spirit as that one!
It was a calm morning. The sun hadn't quite made its way over the hills to dry the dew still sitting on the grass, and the night breeze was still blowing gently across the fields that Oman called home. He had chosen to hunker beneath tree branches for the evening, and it had given him an incredibly restful night. As the birds began waking, and singing, so did Oman. He opened his eyes slowly, peering at the orange line just above the horizon signaling dawn was near. While he wished for just a few more moments of sleep, he forced himself to roll onto his paws and stretch. He yawned widely, eyes clamping shut and teeth visible. With a shake and a huff, he took in his surroundings. Each moment that passed was another for the sun to make its arrival. The mountains on either side of him were slowly, but surely, turning shades of pink and purple.
Food, he thought, as his stomach rumbled suddenly….and loudly. Oman sniffed the air, and the dying wind told him there were certainly other creatures around him. Food creatures? Who knew, but it would not stop the young wolf from trying to get breakfast. He trotted away from the tree he had called home for the night, and made his way south toward a watering hole he had passed the previous day. By the time he arrived, dawn was well on its way. Light glinted softly off the water, shining on the fish swimming idly. Oman's stomach growled again, more aggressively this time. Alright! he though, slightly annoyed. He took a few laps from the water. It was cool and crisp and helped his stomach pains a bit. Still, he had eyes only for the fish.
He watched for a moment, eyeing a koi a few feet from him. “You're all mine,” he said, licking his chops. Oman hunkered down, ready to pounce. Just as his feet left the ground, a twig snapped behind him. His attention shifted, he lost his balance, and proceeded to plummet headfirst into the water. He gasped as his head shot back up, now soaking. “Who's there?!” he yelped.
