Hello! I'm new to LW and I have a lot of questions!

1. Is buying recipes the only way to craft things? Prices for them feel really steep for a newbie, not to mention you need a whole bunch of related recipes that's hard to figure out (how to make yarn for the scarves or leather stripes for apparel, then there's a headache with getting the mats you don't really know where to farm)
2. Where's all the info (like available recipes or where some items I need can be found etc), LW wiki is the emptiest wiki I've ever seen, for real (how do people know where to get something or how without any database)
3. Is there any players online count onsite that I'm failing to see on mobile? Because I know there's a LW clock/time I can see on desktop but not in the mobile version, LW on mobile is cursed ngl)
4. How do I earn money faster if I'm unlucky with getting wild wolves (I figured that's what sells the best besides the crafted thingies that I cannot make just yet. No, I'm not parting with my foods ;w; ). I'm doing the main quest, dailies and adventuring too
5. Is there any “safekeep storage” (like FR vault) system for items and currency that I overlooked or is there none atm?
6. Why is there not a single cat npc QwQ

Whew. I'm gonna try!

1. Marvin the mole is a cool guy who gives away a free item every 6 hours. It really adds up, they're often recipes and such.

2. As someone who didn't play before joining last week, I agree the learning curve is steep and information hard found. I'm happy to answer questions you may have.. I found out a lot of stuff by playing (having experience in similar games is helpful)

3. I have no idea, see #2 lol

4. I made a lot of pebbles by selling stuff in the flea market. If you can afford it, buy all the seeds, every time the store refreshes. Buy all the bones, string, bone paste, leather strips etc. Either use them yourself or sell them. Things that give people experience sells for a lot of pebbles, so materials, raw food etc. You get a lot of that kind of stuff from fishing, hunting and doing campaign. Bones especially sell for a small fortune!

5. Haven't found one yet, and I am sorely missing one too. I suppose one could list their items on the Flea Market for some outrageous amount and set it for a week.. but I'd be too afraid I misprice stuff.

6. Eventually? I am sure? laugh

@Felius What sort of things do you need right now? I might have spares.

1. You start the game already knowing how to make Bone Paste, Moonstones, Copper Pickaxes, and Copper Wheels. However, you do need to purchase recipes to be able to make other items - like Iron Pickaxes, Yarn, Scarves, etc. I wouldn't worry about buying recipes for things that you can't make yet, like Gold-crafted items, and focus instead on buying the Copper & Iron recipes. As has been suggested above, you can also get free recipes from Marvin, the NPC who runes the Mole Market.
2. Lorwolf lore can be found in a stickied thread in the RP forums. You can also check the available Game Guides forums for any information regarding gameplay - posted by the site admins as well as players. Some information may not yet be uncovered by players (such as breed rarity tiers).
3. I don't believe there is a online player count.
4. The activities that are listed at the top of the site generate continuously, so clearing them as you get them is a great way to earn extra pebbles. Grinding campaign is another way, as you can earn trinkets while also hunting wild wolves. Selling trinkets to the vendor (in your inventory page) is a good way to earn more pebbles. The first crossed sword areas in each pack are a good way to hunt wild wolves without going through your food faster than you can earn it (feed your wolves the moths, snails, and isopods you pick up). Always use just 1 wolf and 1 companion, as you can easily keep up with the stamina cost that way. The second crossed swords areas will vary in terms of difficulty. I find Iceruns area easier for me. You can still use a single wolf and companion to farm these areas. These second crossed sword areas are also great for farming trinkets that you can then sell. You can also do the Gauntlet or play in the Arena. The Gauntlet will award pebbles even if you only clear the first level, and doing the Gauntlet will also clear it from your activities.
5. There is no vault system as of yet.
6. Flippant response is that this is a wolf game XD Actual response is that there may yet be a cat NPC to come in future updates. However, we have quite a few feline or feline-adjacent companions that are honestly quite cute!

1. Is buying recipes the only way to craft things? Yep, there's not currently any other way to get these, except occasionally they can be free from marvin as a gift. No idea what the price cap for marvin's gifts are though, so they'll probably be the cheaper ones anyway.

I would encourage you to sell your unused materials on the flea marketplace! 99 bones will sell for 5ms or 50,000p since everyone wants to avoid grinding for them in the campaign

Dailies are probably the best way of getting money, but if you do lots of the campaign you might get lots of items.

Zanthous in goldsea is a good grinding spot because the Discover: Something task doesn't require energy and has a chance to give bones and candles. Candles are good for selling to vendor and duplicate trinkets (from battles in the campaign) are also a very good thing to sell to vendor via your inventory.

Everyone else has already given good answers to your questions, but I just wanted to mention that the site time is available on mobile! When you click the hamburger menu that you use to navigate the site it is at the top, underneath the logout button.

@Blizzard Oh, thank you so much for the reply! I have no idea how I kept overlooking it for so long, lol, I've just scrolled to the top and bottom constantly (zero attention to logout too because I'm always staying logged everywhere), ahaha :'D

@SCB Hi! Sorry for the late reply, I've only got to replying rn! ;w; Thank you so much for reply and explanations, it was super helpful! I've only struggled with recipes (multi-step crafting is confusing) because I really wanted to get white and blue scarves for my wolves, I ended up taking a shortcut and getting those at the players market once I saved up enough, ahaha XD Now I only craft something basic if accidentally getting my hands on some bones (you were so right! It's the cornerstone for ALL the crafting, nearly everything needs bones, that's just crazy, lol). Sorry for getting sidetracked here, all in all - your advices were VERY helpful and I'm following those rn and I just wanted to tell you THANK YOU A LOT! :D
