Oh, what a journey this has been.
Over the past week, I've been adventuring, hoping to expand my pack without using premium currency to purchase or stud wolves from the exchange until the economy is more balanced (gotta love the economy in these pet sims, huh?) This has been… trying, to put it nicely. Using the math other players have so kindly supplied, here's my WW hunt experience:
Assuming one full bar of energy gets you roughly 20 turns in exploration, it took ~100 turns to encounter a wild wolf.
I encountered 5 wild wolves including the one I managed to befriend, bringing my total to roughly 508 total turns for a successful WW encounter (this encounter specifically took around 108 turns, if I counted right.)
3/5 attempted befriendings used a tail wag, and all failed
2/5 attempted befriendings used a bark, and ½ failed. The other try succeeded
This seems to help support some of the math I've seen on the forums about your chances of encountering a WW. Now, with the numbers out of the way, I'd like to introduce you to Marquis!
I won't lie, I was hoping for a female so I could continue to expand my pack without waiting for my progen's breeding cooldown (they had two pretty jocol boys!), but he's just so pretty, I can't find it in myself to complain. I love his autumnal colour scheme, and I can only hope to find another pretty autumn wolf to breed him with. I'm not sure if I'll keep his name or not, since I like to theme my names in pet sims like this, but for now he's Marquis, and he's my first WW! Hopefully the data I managed to collect helps someone with their math journey to dissect the inner workings of wild wolves. Thank you for reading!
