The sky was most certainly falling.
Streams of light crossed the cobalt horizon.
Bright and burning, a sharp seed embedded itself in the earth, razing a deep streak through the trees and moss and stones.
From it sprouted ethereal vines.
Thorns sharp enough to inspire fairytales laced the growing thicket.
Shadows curled beneath the now heaping thing, large as the Hawthorne, as dire too-
and from the inky whorls of shade, a quartet of eyes appeared.
Two beings emerged, a celestial inflorescence.
