A wild newbie appears! Do you...

A) Cautiously approach and give them a sniff.

B) Growl and prepare to fight!

C) Bound up to them and bark joyfully.

D) Do a little jig.

Hi, there. I'm DoTheThing - nice to meetcha! :3

I joined early this morning, and have been playing on and off all day. I gotta say, this game has proven to be fun and charming already! Some things are a little challenging with only two wolves, but I'm sure it'll get better as my den grows - I'll be able to dedicate certain wolves to certain tasks, so they don't have to do so much heavy lifting.

Anywho, I play Flight Rising under the same username, and there my aesthetic is rainbows. Here, though, I think I'm just going for the lulz and general tomfoolery with the potential of seriously outlandish sparkledogs. It's nice to see that there's a selection of not-so-serious items in the Custom Apparel shop.

My main question for those of you who've been playing for a while is, “Do I need wolves of different breeds in order to have good synergies for Hunting?” I was kind of interested in making a Zerda-only lair, but is that actually feasible, or will it just hinder my gameplay? Maybe it's a bit misguided to choose one breed to specialize in before every breed has been released…

If you read this, thank you for your time! I hope to make some friends here, and maybe stick around a while. ^-^

Hello and welcome to Lorwolf! I'm sure you'll be able to grow your den soon with some puppers and wild wolves! ^^
To answer your question, no, you don't need other wolf breeds in order to do the hunting. As long as your wolf is the right level, you'll at the very least have a 50% chance of completing every hunt, even without any synergies! And to help with synergies, you can give your wolves companions to fill the synergies Zerda breeds don't have. Yes, it is slightly more convenient to have multiple breeds just because you'll have a higher chance of getting a 100% succes rate on your hunts, but it's not at all necessary.
Hope this helps! :D

@DoTheThing I actually really like the campaign (coli lol)! No idea how to make money yet but it's easy to use and I like the chance to get new first gen wolves :] Cooking is also fun, but maybe that's just because I'm new and everything here is cool to me LOL. And yourself? ^^

@DoTheThing

Obviously I must choose D. It's a jig off! :) Nice to meet you and welcome to the game. This game is definitely a tad addicting. I've been sitting here hunting for wild wolves for longer than I care to admit. xD

@lionsun ~ I'm mainly enjoying learning all the professions and trying to claim as much currency as possible from doing activities. Since there seems to be a Fishing event going on, I'm making that my current priority. I'm doing a lot of Cooking to keep up my wolves' stamina. Making the Campaign my lowest priority, but I am enjoying it! I'm just currently grinding levels on Explore mode because the enemies I have to defeat for my quest are too tough for me right now. Funny enough, with my two Level 2 wolves, I can take down a Level 6 Bear no prob, but not two Level 3 Echecaras.

@Nap ~ Nice to meet you, as well! ^^ Hunting for wild wolves seems to be a popular activity.

@DoTheThing No prob, I wasn't really expecting a reply since I don't usually get them. I usually just say my thoughts and move on. But replies are always great.

Thanks hope you are having a great day as well ^ ^

C and then D!

Welcome welcome! So glad to have you. :3 From what I'm seeing you would probably do best with multiple species for the synergies but I haven't done terribly much with that myself yet!
