For mining, I wish tools would be auto-equipped with the same that was previously equipped until we run out of them. But there is so much overall to change to professions, and the more is added to them, the more the problems are shinning.

I hope it is okay for me to comment so late :)

What a wonderful and comprehensive list. I was looking to see if anyone else had brought up alchemy. I think it would be a great profession, specifically to combine plentiful ores like copper into less common ones (like 3 copper bars to make 1 iron bar, 3 iron bars to make 1 silver bar, and so on- not necessarily those numbers- and it could go backwards too). Not only would it give me something to do with my hoards of copper bars, it would give me a way to work towards a few gold bars while I'm waiting to level up in the mines.

I really hope a re-balance and some reworks are in the cards before LW adds any more professions, as much as I really think the game would benefit from Alchemy as long as it was well balanced and designed. LW has always kind of stumbled in this regard, and good game balance is so, so important to a game's longevity.
The newest recipes we've gotten are no exception imo; they are supposed to be beginner recipes from their level requirements (level 5 for bows), but their crafting requirements seem outsized for their minimal level.(insecurity based around the level of resources their longer-term players have had the chance to accrue between updates?)
Instead of adding higher level and more complex items (that make sense to be balanced as such-- not simple items like bows) to address that, even the lower level items are already creeping up in terms of the grind for even very new players-- 100 cotton for a single crafting level 5 bow, as seen here? Really?

Everything can't be designed around the people that have been here from the get-go, or things are going to keep getting overwhelmingly inaccessible for people that are joining later. User retention is still a hurdle, and a large part of that stems from how long it takes the average f2p user to progress.

@Goldfish as far as I know it is definitely okay to comment on older suggestions if the topic is still relevant, and I definitely like your addition. :)

To add onto what Reave said, not just the bows, but the dagger apparel is immensely unbalanced too. I read on a different forum that the recipe for the ruby dagger is a lv10 recipe. However, it requires the ruby gemstone, which can be found in the Deep Deep from mining.. which requires lv62 or 63 to access. That seems absolutely wild. Why is the crafting recipe such a low level if it will still take ages to even obtain the required items?

Another thing that has been bothering me a lot lately is how skewed leveling up is within the leveling professions. When mining, as you progress through the different areas, you are able to obtain ores that reward more xp. And you have the possibility to permanently expand your cart, allowing you to level up faster. Focus on permanently, because you keep the large cart even if you go back to the lower level areas. With farming, as you level up your stash of water and compost increases, allowing you to plant bigger seeds at the same time, you unlock extra plots, allowing you to plant more seeds at the same time, ánd your yield increases.
When it comes to fishing however, you are stuck with the same measly 2xp per caught fish and leveling up doesn't add anything. Yes, at some point you can go to a new area with new fish, and for some reason the amount of fish you can catch per trip is fixed per area (rather than actually bound to your level), meaning that if I wanted to fish for a specific fish in a lower area, I am down to getting less fish than if I were to go to a higher area. Even more so, the fish themselves are worth the same too in terms of stamina. You basically gain nothing from leveling up in fishing. This all feels so incredibly skewed. On the one hand leveling up isn't really worth the trouble because you hardly get 'more' and on the other hand if you want to level up it takes literal ages to do so.

Some of these things I already touched upon in the OP, saying that leveling up should give consistent and permanent rewards throughout the professions, such as unlocking extra slots/plots/ripples, and higher levels giving actually better items. But yeah, I felt the need to get that off my chest because I've been trying, I really have been trying but fishing is such an annoying, unworthwhile and slow profession to level up.
