Lore
Each pup will come with a snippet of lore. Feel free to expand, discard, edit, and do whatever you wish with it. It's just a little seasoning on your pup. A little spark.
In general, pups appear mysteriously from the snow fields between the Icerun mountains and the edge of Goldsea, and aren't biologically descended from my pair (even though the game mechanics say otherwise, lol!). Pups will have prompts for personality and motivation, but beyond that the story is up to you. You may opt to indicate your pup is a direct descendant from Prism and Sky, but my official lore won't reflect that (because I'm like mega old and wouldn't be able to keep up with the endless children these wolves will make).
Winged Pups
Prismatic Sky pups have a high chance of appearing with feathered wings. Since Lorwolf doesn't have wings as an inheritable aspect, storebought will do!
Magic
Prismatic Sky pups are often magical, to the point that it's mundane for them to use magic, and not astonishing at all. They typically align with a wintry element. Examples of elements include, but are not limited to: Ice, sky, water, air, aurora, steel, animal affinity, and whatever else seems fun. The only note here is that their magic is typically not destructive. Living in the snow is hard enough so Prismatic Skywolves tend to favor helping each other out over blowing each other up.
Philosophy
Skywolves, as playful nomads, eschew the militaristic aspects of Icerun in favor of the wilds. It's still dangerous out there. Skywolves often wear protection in the form of armor and shields, but never equip weaponry. A lot of Icerun packs view skywolves unfavorably as a result. Skywolves are not necessarily welcome when they appear due to their flighty and lighthearted nature.
There can, of course, be exceptions – Plenty of possibilities for unlikely war heroes among Skywolves if desired — I'm just a giant pacifist baby so this is the sort of fantasy I start with, lol. Skywolves loosely consider themselves an Icerun pack under the auspices of Orrin, but many of them believe that other packs have gravely misinterpreted the spiritwolf‘s personality. They're not really a cohesive collective of wolves, so military maneuvers aren't necessarily practical for them, either.
Skywolves are friendly with Goldsea packs, especially its bards and poets. Prismatic Skywolves tend to be shy around Murkwood and Darkspine packs, but they can find commonalities with individual wolves via magical affinities and trade.
