Hunting - Allow for Wolf / Companion EXP / Hunting EXP when failing.

i understand not getting the items that drop from there, but the wolf still goes on that hunting trip and spends 1+ hours on it. it makes no sense that they wouldn't have gotten experience. even if you fail, you still gain experience, you learn what not to do and how to do better. it only makes sense that a wolf will still gain some experience despite failing to get the treasure chest or whatever else, you know? also, it makes it hurt less when you lose a 90 percent + success rate after dropping trinkets, 200 food points etc…

Yes please. Especially if items and food are involved. (Maybe return items and food should be another suggestion on it own.)

Overall it makes sense for Wolves to learn from what's going on for exp at least.

I can understand the frustration but I've always just accepted it as part of the chance. Sure it's a 90% chance to succeed but… that's what chance is all about. Additionally, consider the fact that failed hunts involving the use of items helps in regards of unloading items from the site, much like economic sinks for pebbles and moonstones.

I also just don't agree with the thought that players always need to get something for everything. Give and take has always been an aspect of games.

Perhaps a good middle ground would be a reduced percentage of what the EXP reward would have been because, as you said, they are still going on the hunt.

i'm not asking for any items or to do anything about the percentage, the entire point of the thread was for the wolves and companions to get EXP even if they fail because it makes sense for them to still gain EXP lol
