Not sure what exactly went wrong here, but I was battling against a Vespen when my wolf killed it, but the site said I lost and I didn't gain any items or pebbles either. I have a recording of it, though I'm not sure how to upload that to the forums, so if it's needed I can send it via discord. Here are some screenshots of the end of the battle:
