Hi, new here! I've done a lot of fishing and cooking recently and noticed that the complex recipes like Jam, Pumpkin pie, and the bug soup award far less exp, while taking up a lot more cooking spaces.

For example, I can cook 12 random fish and get around 30-36 exp per batch. There's only enough space to cook 2 jams at one time (on the base level pot, with no upgrades) and those 2 jams only award 6-10 exp.

So my suggestion is, since the complex recipes require more items, and are technically harder to make while taking more time, they should award a higher amount of cooking exp. I think bring them to 20 - 25 exp per item would be fair. That way if you cook 2 jams, you'll be getting 40 - 50 exp total for both items cooked. Which is more than just throwing in 12 fish/meat chunks, but isn't too high that it makes them OP.

Yeah, this follows the overall pattern of the game that feels a bit weird. Harder things don't give more exp, which imo goes against the logic of things being more difficult. ^^; Like iron recipes requiring a higher level and more materials but also give the same exp amount of lower levels. Same for enemies in the campaign.
I can understand the logic if the worry is once someone gets to more complicated stuff, they grow in level exponentially faster, but it still feels wrong.

For cooking though, especially since recipes don't require a certain level to complete them, it makes sense to make more complicated ones give more exp since there isn't a level wall in the way anyways.

@Dracowolfie In addition, cooking complex recipes while your pot is below the reccomended level gives it a high chance to burn. IMO if someone has a lower level pot, but succeeds in making a complex recipe, they should definetly get more exp from that.

@VariantLoki Ooooh good point, I already forgot about the burn chance. Definitely then, that's even more reason for the difficult recipes to be more rewarding, even if just a tiny bit. :D
