can anyone tell me how to post the item (brackets) code that posts the item icon? i understand it uses the item number right? how do i find an items number?

if i have a breeding pair which is nesting already, and then i use a breed-change on the parents (while nesting before pups are birthed) -- will it then make the puppies match the new breed of the parents, if you then birth them after? or will they be the same species you got in previews regardless of the breed change (until next breeding)?

@Curio yes you need to save the image, host it somewhere (i like to use postimage personally, postimages.org) and then use the "insert image" widget in which you paste the image link.

So, uh, was it an April Fools thing that everyone in my pageant bracket won 1st place? Everyone? Or was it due to Monday being the 1st of the month before the rollover for the week? I'm so confused. When do pageant weeks actually end?

Should I make a bug report thread, or has this happened before? I don't want to ruin it for all the other people who also won "1st place", but I don't want to hang onto a first place medal if it's from a bug and get penalized for not reporting it. It could very well be mechanics I don't understand. I honestly don't remember if pageant voting closed at the end of the month regardless of the week's end. I just know I came back from a long hiatus yesterday and joined that pageant bracket yesterday, which shouldn't net me anything.

@raus Pageants always start on Tuesday (which is also when the previous week's results come in). Months have nothing to do with it - it is purely a weekly event. And it can happen in rare instances that a lot of wolves get the same amount of votes, so not a april fool's thing or anything coordinated. (My wolf for example, definitely didn't win).

@foxbun you can't use gene or breed scrolls, or anything that alters a wolf (besprinkler, sex change etc.) while they are on a nest. IIRC you can't even use it for as long as they have a cooldown. You have to wait for them to be ready to breed again before you can make any changes to them. From then on, naturally, the pups will be based on the new looks/genes/etc of the parents.

@foxbun I had to double check for a bit but it is the same as the wolf code, but Wolf is substituted by Item.

So {xItem(IDnumber)} where you remove the x and replace IDnumber with the actual ID number.

There are some guides that list all the item icons and their IDs, however one is more complete, but doesn't have the name of the item listed (making it a right pain to search, especially since for example all recipe icons look the same), and the one that does have the names of items isn't at all complete. I might actually consider making one that is fully complete with both the ID, the icon and the name..
