It says on the companions page that raising your total companion level will make you "more powerful", but it doesn't give more details than that. How does raising your total companion level benefit the player?

I searched really hard for a FAQ or Guide on equipping companions, but I don't see anything. Are you supposed to be able to match dupes of your companions with different wolves? Marvin just gave me my first companion dupe today, a shadow kapura, (guess I've been lucky so far!) and as an experiment, I put it on a wolf. Since then, it's let me play with both copies of shadow kapura, and they maintain their own play cooldown timelines and give different amounts of pebbles/rewards each time. The only thing that makes the new shadow kapura different from a distinct familiar is that the new one was already at level 10 when I equipped it (my original shadow kapura was already at level 10). Is the ability to equip duplicate companions intended? I hope so, because it's handy to know I can get dupes if I need to to make sure every wolf has a companion.

In reference to “more powerful,” the higher a companion’s level is, the stronger it will be in battle in the Campaign or Gauntlet. So it’s worthwhile to level them up to get more loot from those activities. :)
Otherwise, having a higher companion level gives you more pebbles when you play with them/better item rewards.
@Refractor
That seems to be how it’s intended to work (at least for now)! I’ve got two Kickstarter Kranes and can play with them on separate wolves, getting a separate play reward from each. So it’s definitely worth pairing the duplicates and remembering to play with them - it’s a great source of pebbles!
@Alphaeon Thank you! That was the answer I was looking for :)
Hello there! Can we rearrange the order of wolves in a den? I click and drag to move a wolf, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I’m using an iPad.
Okay. Thank you!
Thank you for answering! Very cool!
Why do the Colpatch Antlers look so small when you put them on a wolf?
