Support! I'd love to be able to fish at my own pace, rather than having to stare for a minute straight-
I'd even be fine with the water ripples still happening, but not being pressured to catch anything quickly :D

These two work tirelessly to bring home bones as well as new friends. Sometimes they need a break- If your wolves need a nice rest as well, why not give it to them?
fishing feels like it was the framework for a minigame, but the other professions didn't get this treatment. minigames are fine and i think they should add some, but i'm in full agreement with the OP. the fishing professions is out of place with the other jobs.
I think it would be OK if the minigame was much shorter so it was more like a fast whack a mole or something. My ADHD makes this garbage. But making it idle would make it better for people with mobility disabilities since the rest of the game is idle.
As it stands, I just try to get the minigame over with asap when I wake up by spam clicking for two minutes to complete the 15 fish activity and hope I don't lag and lose half my potential catch. This wouldn't really change anything for the worse so this has my full support.
It may also help to make it easier to add more improvements later, like unifying the profession levelling feature if you could get faster ripples or trip cooldowns lowered per level kinda like how the cooking levelling works.
I'm another on the “ADHD and forced to do NOTHING ELSE for a whole minute” train
The ripples have such a low tolerance for error in both click timing and location, but so long between them
If you get the Fishing Activity, it's impossible to complete in one trip, so it's not just one minute stuck unable to even look at anything else, it's two. And that sucks.
Honestly, switching to the “can catch this many fishies” would help; then you could keep the frequency of ripples and allow it to be possible to complete the activity in one go and even miss a few ripples, make it a patience thing. The timer really isn't helping things though.
Support! I really can't stand watching that static image for a full minute when I enjoy multitasking, I get super restless and as a result I just avoid fishing altogether. The daily fishing task for tickets haunts me all day. There's probably a better solution than just a fish caught limit, but it would be a huge improvement over the way it currently functions.
