Looking to have fun in Arena? Don't know what's going on most of the time? This quick guide may help you get things started! (Advanced Arena Guide coming soon!)
Super short guide and goal:
- Buy creatures.
- Buy 3 of the same 1* creature to merge to 2*. Buy 9 of the same 1* creatures or 3 of the same 2* creatures to get a 3*.
- Defeat your opponents with your creatures, survive, win.
OK I understand all of that but how do I win better? How do I even know what to do, what are synergies? Help!
The following guide will try to oversimplify it and use as few words as possible.
Tips on winning Arena:
- On Round 1-3, buy all creatures. You can buy for 1 money each, and sell for 1 money each. So, you can think what team you want in 2-3 rounds, and sell the rest. If you have a 2* already, even better.
- You don't have to win every round. When your health is above 30, you can take losses. Save the money for Free Refresh after each round, get creatures you want. When health is below 30, use money to keep refreshing until you get creatures you want.
- You want a theme for your team. If you find Synergy, stick to it, get 3* of them. If you lack space, sell creatures that are far from merging.
- If you can't decide which to use, check the skill descriptions. Leftmost is Passive, middle is Attack, rightmost is Special. As for creature's hidden stats, check the synergy icons. If they seem to be attack-y, they likely have higher attack but lower health. If they seem to be tank-y, they likely have higher health but lower attack.
- Unless you know what you're doing, balance attack and defense. The first 1 slots in your team is Front Row, they usually take damage first. The rest is Back Row. Some attacks can attack Back Row, so it's not a bad idea to also put one tank creature on the back. (Rarely, put one attacker on the front.)
For point 3: theme examples:
- All creatures with ability to give Shield and Heal, tank.
- Creatures with Special that stuns opponents and many poison attacks
- Creatures with high damage Specials
- Creatures with Passive and Specials that increase energy
Another tip: Energy is the yellow bar thing that activates your creatures' Special.
You can gain energy by attacking and taking damage. If you have a tank with a powerful Special, put on Front Row. If not, use Passives and Specials and synergy that give more energy.
