I think it would be super helpful to be able to put a private studding instead of either posting a public studding which could be sniped by someone else or sending them your wolf which always holds a level of risk. I think it would help the community immensely to add this feature!

I would rather have the studding be a request compared to anything.

Private studding may keep different breeds from circulating at all and make it expensive to get access to them.

Mostly just worry about this because no one is taking pebbles for anything for the most part, which makes it VERY difficult from a casual player to know what's around and make progress.

What one does with one's wolves is up to them, and it'd facilitate private or worked out requests for sure. I just think it might be a bit soon for such a thing?

Support for private studding!! I want to be able to be selective with the Wolves I breed, but I don't always want to send them to someone I don't entirely trust. I think private studding would solve both the issue of needing more security well, and also allow for friends to just stud their wolves to their friends for 1 pebble to streamline the breeding process.

I totally support this suggestion! I’ve already received enquirers for studding, so now I’m going to have to be careful coordinating with them when I place the listing so it doesn’t get swiped.

I think it is important to realize however that price of studding and buying wolves is predominantly in moonstones right now because they are easier to get (energy wise). You only need money, whereas for pebbles you have to spend time grinding for them on site. This happens with all pet site openings, and what usually occurs is that the price of studding and wolves will eventually (usually within 1-2 months) crash. Especially when players become less excited about the game, and are going to be more wary about spending real life money on it.

Support! I'd love to be able to stud some of my wolves for people, without having to risk the stud listing getting sniped if I have a high-value wolf (like a G1 Bracchus) or having to send a high-value wolf either to someone else or have someone else send their high-end wolf to me.

It's not even about trust, but life can come unexpectedly and the wolf can get stuck in a den that's gone inactive while the person deals with whatever's come up. Likewise, if I have something that big come up, I don't want to have to also consider an online petsite on top of everything else.

These situations can be mitigated through private studding. I'm not sure how I feel about sending a stud request to someone. I feel like people who own high-value wolves could receive a large amount of stud requests, and become overwhelmed by them. I certainly would.

a few days ago, i was looking for an option to private stud with someone's ww and couldn't find one, so i ended up just trading him to the other person. that particular instance didn't make me nervous but i don't want to do that every time… there are people™ you know?

I definitely support this. It would be nice to offer studs to friends, or have some sort of request mechanism that you can accept or reject rather than just out there for anyone to grab.
