it's really cool that custom apparel can be uploaded once and fit any base, if the artist has put all the files in. however, that's an awful lot of work to do before submitting a piece; right now, there are 6 breeds, two poses each, so that's 12 pieces of individual art that needs to be done if an artist wants to accomodate ALL breeds and poses. now, yes, you don't have to accommodate all of them, but personally i would like to! and many artists already have. so it's clear people would like do this if possible.

additionally, there will almost certainly be a need for this down the line. i assume new breeds might be added in the future, and with a new breed comes a bunch of custom apparel that will suddenly be lacking. do artists then have to buy another custom token and upload a new ‘design' each time this happens? that feels counter to the idea of custom apparel and the way it is designed.

tldr: this system is great, so let's future proof it!

I support this!! I’d like to be able to update my apparel once other breeds come out :) even if it costs me another token, I’d hate for other people to have to buy “shirt #2” that goes on the new breeds vs using their “shirt #1” that they already have

Yes, this is quite important! It's also just gonna be great because that way people can sponsor our currently existing customs for new poses, and as you said we wouldn't have to have like 5 different versions people have to pay separately for.

Yessss big please! This would make the system feel basically perfect imo. It’s honestly the reason I haven’t submitted the custom apparel I’ve made, because I want to make it on all the poses but that is taking me ages. ^^; It would be awesome if I could just submit it now and add to it as I find the time, and people buying what I made would increase that motivation.

Plus the inevitable reason of new breeds being added with time. I’m honestly guessing the only reason this isn’t current function is a technical/process limitation that hasn’t been worked through yet, so just throwing my two cents out for hopes that the change happens soon! <3

this this this! If CAT doesn't get support for being added to, I can see in the future designs will quickly become outdated and unable to be used for the new breeds. I feel implementation on this is best supported early on, before new breeds are made.

One concern that comes up is that CATs need to be approved by moderators. Perhaps there could be a new item (CAT addition), or a special request form to add extra poses to preexisting CATs that goes through vetting? Regardless, would love to see this implemented one way or another

not gonna ping y'all but these are all really great points! And yes, I absolutely agree that fixing this now rather than much later down the line would be the smartest play, and with much lower time and labour cost :D

I think this could be done with some modification if we have a page for our personal design catalogue that we can request to edit/adjust (and further: order more copies) and then submit to queue. (adaption of the current gallery) In theory the backend would hold the original and review staff could compare the revamped version newly uploaded and approve from there, to keep people from reverting or sneakily modifying currently approved CA.

a page for us to see our own catalogue would be EXTREMELY useful, and from there us being able to manage our designs, add additional poses, and order reprints could all be implemented, reducing the need for staff to do quite so much work! and yeah, having the backend hold the old vs new images for comparison would be really good

I created a ‘happy’ mouth to fit my Progen and I didn't know I wouldn't be able to go back and add more breeds! Now only Lupins get to be happy on my apparel piece and I don't want to scrounge up 100 moonstones just to make a separate item for the other 11 poses. I'd rather it go under the same item.

Support! I submitted a CA thinking this was already an option. I had planned on adding other breed compatibility once I felt up to it, but I really wanted it for my Zerda until then.
