I noticed this while trying to adjust the title of a sale to update information, but I realized I wasn't able to.

While, there are reasons for not being able to edit forum titles, and I'll get to that, but I believe the pros outway the cons here.

Pros I can think of:

Being able to update sales information

Being able to mark sales, artshops and user made event threads as closed

Being able to mark questions as resolved

Being able to fix mistakes in titles

Cons I can think of:

Can cause forum confusion

Some people may change titles around to get people to click on the same thread again(without adding any new content)

While it can be disruptive at times, I think it would provide a better browsing experience overall.

sifting through obsolete(sales especially) threads can be frustrating, and you may also miss offers you might be interested in after updated listings, since you were previously uninterested with what was offered.

Support. It'll make it easier to update what is actually available in sale posts as items/wolves are traded or sold.

Support with modification: a marking of some sort that signifies the subject line has been edited, which would minimize some of the issues mentioned by OP.

Support! This would definitely be helpful for the art and sales forums, having an indicator for an edited post would also be nice and help meditate some of the issues there.

Also related, I'd like to be able to delete forum threads that I have created (examples: my question has been answered, all of my items have sold)

@Frost I actually personally don't support being able to delete threads, keeping a record of sales is important for future sellers to get a grasp of value for similar trades/sales, and some people may have the same questions as you, I personally always check if a question has been asked before before creating a new thread in that topic. I think being able to edit threads as closed or resolved works fine enough and doesn't mess with archiving. This suggestion had brought up being able to lock threads, which I think is a good idea. I would recommend creating your own separate suggestion thread for this though since it's a new suggestion altogether!

I support the need to be able to Edit titles and most of the other stuff, but I am with Soverign on deleting threads.

Yes please! I would love to be able to edit my art sale forum title to accurately represent the services I'm offering.

I think the fact that we can't update titles also causes confusion! I made a thread to trade a WW, then was able to get them traded on someone else's thread, so I went to my post to update the title so that people would know at a glance that my request was filled and… well I couldn't, best I could do was edit the description. But I would feel bad if someone clicked on my thread thinking it was still open, only to see it closed, and I'm sure I'm not the only one!
