Wolf levels, Food acquisition, and more

Hello!

I've got a few questions I wanted to ask all in one place, to avoid cluttering the forum. I apologize for how many there are; I've been struggling with a bunch of things.

Wolf levels: Is there any reason NOT to level a wolf? I have a number of WWs that I want to preserve their value by leaving them unbred, but I wanted to know if leveling a wolf would affect their value negatively. Or if I should just, use that resource, since I am hurting for warm bodies to do various activities and obviously pups aren't available yet. They don't appear to have any sort of stat points to allocate or anything like that, they just get naturally stronger. But that numerical value isn't visible to me anywhere, they still show only the base stats on the wolf's status page.

Food acquisition: I'm struggling to get enough food to keep my wolves fed to do activities. I have found an equilibrium with doing a 1 wolf party in Campaign, where I can get enough food each run to at least break even on the cost of doing the run. But I'm struggling to create stores to feed to my wolves when they aren't doing an activity that provides food such as Mining. I am cooking every piece of raw meat that I can, which is going to be a huge help, but I wanted to know if there was a way or a place specific to Campaign that I could grind most efficiently to increase my food stores.

Hunting: I read that a higher Hunting level can help with getting Companions to drop, and I wanted to know what the correlation was exactly. I've been fighting what seems like an insane amount of enemies in Campaign and have only had two drops. I'm wondering if the issue isn't that I'm getting unlucky, but that I am not currently eligible for them to drop.

Companions and Combat: I can see they have combat stats, and affinities. Are these actually factored into combat in Campaign? Or do they only apply to say, the Arena?

Companions in general: I was able to put two different copies of the same Companion on two different wolves, and saw they have the same exp bar. Is Companion EXP related to the account, and not the specific individual? And is it efficient to apply extra Companions to more wolves to speed up the process? Does giving a Companion to a wolf affect them in any way permanently?

Activities and Affinities: Each wolf has their own little symbols like the crosshairs and the shield. I get that those are their affinities, however, do those affect how efficient they are at specific activities, such as Hunting, or Fishing? Also, are those 100% related to their breed? For example, every Lupin I have has the exact same little symbols, so can they just not get any other kinds? Will this require me to somehow get my hands on rare or limited breeds for reasons beyond status/aesthetic/personal reasons to maximize my efficiency in doing Activities?

Hunting: I find Hunting to be very frustrating, because it takes the entire stamina bar and I don't seem to get much out of it. It also has a rather high chance of failing, because I lack a diversity of wolves with different Affinities. However, I know it has some correlation to getting more Companions, so do I have to risk it for the biscuit to get enough EXP to level that activity? Or should I just keep doing only the missions I have wolves for that give me 100% success rate? Do the rewards for individual missions give me enough of an incentive for that risk? Are the rewards always the same, or is there some RNG involved? I also read I can get seeds from doing Hunting, but that has yet to happen. Is there a specific mission that grants seeds?

Moonstones: I have gotten some Moonstone shards from completing Activities, but I have also, oddly, gotten shards from Cooking. Sometimes when I'm cooking my meat, a Moonstone shard will appear in the pot. Do certain Activities have a possibility of randomly generating a Moonstone shard? Is there a way to grind for them? I am also sure you can probably get shards or full Moonstones from Mining at a high enough level, is this correct?

Farming Festival: I am unsure of what exactly is going on with this event. I see that there are tickets, which are a currency I can use to buy things in that shop. But I can't even get any seeds to drop from Hunting, so I have no idea how I'm supposed to get 100+ tickets for one of those sweet cow Companions. In fact, I have a few tickets, but I don't know where they came from.

Thank you so much for your time to even just read my questions, I really appreciate it!

I can answer two of those questions:

  • mining can indeed yield moonstone shards! I've gotten a few pieces of moonstone ore
  • you get some farming vouchers from completing basic tasks (I think the first 6 tasks every day reward vouchers). seeds can be bought in the mole market or with vouchers. I've personally spent all my vouchers on some apparel and more seeds so I can gather more food, I'm not going to get enough tickets for the familiars anyway.

Excuse me for making this as brief as possible!

Wolf levels: Wolf value is determined by the community, however I don't see why leveling should ever decrease value, I'd speculate on the contrary if anything. Base stats don't change, but yes they get naturally stronger, nothing else.

Food acquisition: The first “sword” areas of each pack give the most food, the third areas none. Aside from campaign you can farm food or buy food in the Mole Market.

Hunting (?): Do you mean companion drops in the campaign? If so, it's not possible for companions to drop in the campaign.

Companions and Combat: They do have effect in the campaign. Below your party where the synergies are listed, you can hover over each to see what they will do.

Companions in general: Companion xp is shared between copies of the ame companion. Equipping them on different wolves will make the specific companion level faster. Companions don't permanently affect wolves.

Activities and Affinities: The synergies are always the same for the same breed. They affect all areas with combat, but no professions or aything else. You are not required to acquire rare breeds to max any efficiency.

Hunting: Hunting does not make companions drop in the campaign & afaik hunting does not drop companions itself, either. The hunting event shop (currently closed, as we're in the farming event week, they rotate) will have certain companions be available for vouchers you can earn by hunting during that week itself, just the same the cows are currently available for farming in the current week. Rewards are randomized to a degree I think. I am not sure if seeds can drop from farming, but even though they are better bought or found in the campaign.

Moonstones: Most (if not all, I am not 100% sure) can yield moonstone shards, mining as well, yes (shards only, in all levels). You can earn 25 shards a day.

Farming Festival: You get a few tickets from your first batch of activities each day. Seeds are most easily acquired by buying them in the Mole Market & they drop from enemies in higher campaign levels. Also note that 100 tickets can not be earned in a single week, currently even more so as it has been cut short with launch having been on a weekend - these companions are goals to work towards, your tickets will stay in your inventory!

Hope this helps!
