Is it just totally random now to get the berry fields? I just keep getting jumped when it prompts for scent choices even if I pick the same choices every time.
As far as I've seen it's not different than it had been during EA.
What do you mean by "getting jumped"?
When I was doing the quest looking for the cargo, during the choices I would randomly get attached by 3 “deer". Sometimes they were blue and sometimes they were brown. I don't recall this at all during the EA.
Oh, my bad, I thought you were referring to the explore scenario that rewards berries!
This also is the same as in EA though - this quest is random, it could be that in EA you received the scenario that will lead you to continuing the storyline earlier, but it is normal to meet the deer instead a bunch of times before progressing the storyline!
