What is the purpose of having companions, other than for the sake of collection? how do you bond/level them, or use their skills?

What is the purpose of having companions, other than for the sake of collection? how do you bond/level them, or use their skills?

Companions level over time as you play with them! You can also use them on your team for the Campaign and the Gauntlet, which is what their skills are for. They're pretty useful for getting Pebbles and other items as you add wolves to your pack!
