I encountered a Kokobo battle where my companion and the enemy npc both did no damage to each other. Eventually all my other party member died and two continued doing 0 damage to each other (no numbers showed up at all but the animations played). Eventually I was ‘defeated’, probably because the battle took too long

This is the first and only battle so far where I encountered a Kokobo

The Kokobo companion is here and yes it's level 1 because I forgot you could put companions into battles

aint a bug(? maybe it is) keboko has an attack that does damage to the last opponent that dealt damage to it (which means if no one is attacking, they will deal no damage) so yeah that happens

Same thing happens with Lapistrix, or any companion with that same move (Retribution, I believe). Not sure if this is something that can really be “fixed”, but it is indeed annoying to deal with.

Bringing this up to report that I've had a similar problem battling Machairas with the Keboko companion. It appears that neither are able to damage each other, resulting in the battle continuing until it times out if the other party members are defeated.

-For reference, I've been battling in the Zanthous area of Goldsea and have not attempted battles anywhere else.

-Bear battles work just fine. It's only the Machairas.
