What it says on this tin basically, there's a few times where I've bonded and then needed to adjust companions for a team loadout in gauntlet or campaign.

Tentative support. If the feature only allows you to swap a bonded familiar to another wolf instead of removing it, that should prevent people from circumnavigating the cooldown
100% support. It is really annoying, especially with the long cooldowns to have to wait to participate in other areas of the game (gauntlet, hunting, campaign, and during events the event gauntlet).. It's not about being able to bond multiple times, It is about not being locked out of certain parts of the game for hours due to the design of the game.
(I made a suggestion about this years ago that has a few more elaborate options to solve the issue in addition to swapping companions. Must be floating about somewhere)

This exactly, I don't care about being able to bond multiple times. I just need a way to adjust my team... Rather not wait five hours because of one mistake.

I understand the frustration of not being able to remove companions once they're bonded. I'll often have wolves with companions I intend to release, but can't because I have to wait for the companion cooldown. However, I understand they have a cooldown to prevent people from abusing the system.
My best suggestion would be to have dens specifically for the gauntlet, hunting, campaigns, etc. so you can create/organize specific teams. Sadly, I know that's not a feasible option for everyone, as dens cost real money. :(
