Can we please get explicit confirmation that the soft-retiring epic-rarity apparel pieces are supposed to be twice the price of their non-retiring lower rarity counterparts?
I can see it making sense either way, but with prices changing constantly and having been bugged in the past, it's very difficult for players to tell when things are intentional vs bugged. I've laid all the changes out below in case staff doesn't have a record handy. You can see how it seems plausible this is a bug. Prices were stated to have been intentionally rebalanced after the initial icerun event, and they remained low during the murkwood and goldsea event. Then, without warning, prices increased again during the darkspine event. The companion price at least was confirmed to be an error. I would just like confirmation on if the apparel price we have now is indeed an intentional increase, or if it was an error during darkspine that was simply overlooked and has been accidentally carried over to this event.
Timeline of events and changes
First Icerun event:
- Epic set was twice the cost of the others, everything retires
- Companion prices high, all epic rarity, each species had a cheap and expensive color
- Feedback deemed prices too high, and we were awarded additional tickets
Murkwood event:
- Additional ticket balancing changes, and only the epic set retires
- Retiring set price reduced to match the others
- Companion prices reduced, different rarity species, each species had a cheap and expensive color
Goldsea event:
- No stated changes regarding ticket prices, other feedback changes mentioned
- Apparel prices same as during murkwood
- Companion prices same as murkwood, lower price to the lower rarity species
Darkspine event:
- No feedback changes mentioned
- Epic set was twice the cost of the others (same as the first icerun event)
- Companion prices back up to the higher icerun prices, lower price to the lower rarity species
- Companion prices reduced near the end of the event, stated to be an error
- Apparel prices remained high. No word on if it was intentional, or if it was simply overlooked since the OP of the bug report only mentioned the companions
Current Icerun event:
- No feedback changed mentioned
- Epic set twice the cost of the others
- Companion prices use the correct lower prices, one cheap and one expensive recolor. Rarity seems to have some bugs
