I’m selling a piece of art to someone and don’t know what price is average!
It honestly depends on the piece. Whether it's a fullbody or not, of a wolf or of a human, style, etc. There's not really an average.
It could be helpful if you showed the piece so we'd have an idea of what it is - but, if you're not comfortable with that, I'd say charge what you're comfortable with. Think of how much your piece is worth to you, then price it based on that :)
