ive been using a kit, snowloon, brother perth, jocol and volmyr and pretty consistently beat the boss! save a fail every once in a while, but that does count for the activities so it doesn't super matter to me.

I've just been using two lvl 10 Kits and two lvl 10 Furmus, plus whatever fodder wolf I'm training to release at lvl 10 in the extra spot. Seems to win every time so far

Jocols & Direwolves tend to be the strongest and last the longest against bosses. I'd also recommend using high level companions as those seemed to help me.

I've been running Kit + Direwolf + Krane + Lunaria + a wolf I am leveling (all level 10 except the wolf I am leveling). I seem to be beating both every time! Since the Krane is a Kickstarter companion; it's hard to get, but maybe a canictonis could do the trick instead.
