Are you refreshing to skip the battle? Because if you're refreshing and getting boss credit but not enemies credit, you probably lost the boss encounter but managed to down one of the small adds in the attempt. You get credit for the little guys as bosses too.

@Chimerical it does count if you actually beat them. It is often confusing as the 'defeat bosses' quest counts even if you don't actually beat them (I beg you staff, please don't change this!) but the defeat enemies only counts when you actually win the entire battle.
