I would love an option to fight the Rockbreaker Ox, and the Icefisher Stork instead of giving the Ox bars, or the stork fish. This could act as a mini boss encounter for that area, and drop metal bars, or maybe forzen fish and sushi as loot potentially.

Additionally, this would make that encounter completely useful, whichever option you could pick, instead of wasting a turn getting nothing.

Edit- since the encounters are pretty similar, I've edited the topic to include the Stork too. I'd also like to fight the bird. Maybe have it drop a whole roast chicken, or sushi?

Yeah, I'd like the option to wallop him at this point, haha. I almost regret leveling mining, after spending a couple months casually hunting a kapros encounter in that zone and getting too many ox encounters I really didn't want. :P

Wasted opportunity not to get some bars and maybe rarely a gem from a slightly tougher fight (maybe level 6 or 7?) in the area. By the time a player's mining is high enough to reach the encounter, they will probably have at least one team of higher leveled creatures to fight him too.

Please? This sounds amazing. We need to figure out another for the other two areas, but yes heck yes. Fish/Bars as loot, with a low/middling chance at the companion. (Maybe this can pave the way for more Companion drops in the Campaign?)

i drop all of the copper/iron i get because i don't need it anymore - and now you want me to suddenly have like 40 bars of each? What? Why? No. Not happening, sorry. i bought both the Companions off the AH.

Yes, please! A lovely idea to make these encounters feel less like a punishment for leveling the respective professions.
