Hi, this is my rushed thread about selling BGBB colour-off wolves that are 'good enough' for breeding with BGBB wolves but aren't perfect in my metrics.
What is a BGBB wolf? This is a colour code to designate what colour is gray-scale and what colour is brown-scale. Just saying 'natural wolf' is not enough. Some prefer brown wolves with white under, others with brown (cream, sand, oak, oyster). And as people are aware, those unders are not compatible with each other.
The colours are ordered accent, under, top, base like in the wolf's profile. B stands for brown, G for gray.
The BGBB wolf would be a brown wolf with a white under, while a BBBB wolf would be brown with a brown under. GBBB and GGBB are different interpretations of foxes as an example, depending on whether you breed for brown or gray unders.
Hi hello, as you may know, certain colour ranges are lacking in fresh blood to spice up the old and well-established lineages. They're all kinda related. So I've started a project to breed for wolves that fit the BGBB mould from odd coloured high-gen wolves to revitalise my brood with novel partners.
This of course, leads to a lot of reject wolves that may nevertheless be useful to other people that may not be as stringent as me. My wolves focus on breeding BGBB in the yellow range of the brown spectrum, which means the rejects are slightly PINK. If i were breeding for the orange range of brown, the rejects would be slightly GREEN.
So if you have a pretty BGBB wolf, they will likely have puppies that cluster more towards yellow with these wolves. While not all puppies will be perfect, the chance of getting a pretty puppy is quite higher with these.
I recommend throwing a woo into the demo to see for yourself.
