Returning player- what have I missed?

Hello! I haven't been on Lorwolf in a while and am feeling a bit overwhelmed. Can someone please help me get caught up? Any help is appreciated!!

so the most fun part of the new stuff has been the seasonal events, one for each pack, where you grind in campaign for tickets to limited items!! really fun stuff too, apparel and companions both.

then theres a bunch of new food and companions and apparel, some of which you now get through hunting and mining gems. and speaking of the professions, there's now 1000p buttons to click to shorten your waiting time!!

can't think of much else that's changed visibly, but one breed and two patterns have dropped since, which you can check out in demo. also you should have site messages w like anniversary specials and stuff!

Thank you for responding!! Seasonal events sound fun! What kind of items have been released for those? Also, how do achievements work? I don't remember those from when I last played.

@Sun the achievements themselves say what you need to do in order to complete it. It also keeps track of your progress real-time. Whenever an achievement is ready to be claimed, you'll see a red dot next to the name of the tab button, and there will be a 'claim' button in the achievement card. Clicking it will redeem your rewards (which in turn have to be claimed via the notification system, similar to buying or selling things on the Flea Market)

The types of items for the seasonal events so far have been apparel, 1 set of which is soft-retired* and the rest returning each year. Also a bunch of companions, including 2 pairs of completely new ones and a set of 'consumed' colourvariants of existing companions. The two pairs of new companions also soft retire, while the others either return each year for that specific pack's event (pack consumed companions), or for each pack event (general consumed companions). There have also been a forum picture decoration and banner released, also to return each year.

*Soft retired basically means that they will not be available through outright purchase again, but they aren't completely unobtainable like the KS items. Instead, from what the devs have shared, they're planning a lootbox type thing that you can purchase during the event that will randomly award 1 soft-retired item.
