My fellow Lorians . . . today marks the first day I have made ANY progress on the Gauntlet's Mirror, Mirror achievement. I am now sitting at a whopping 1/10 battles where two of my party's companions are also on the enemy team. Only 99 more to go until I have the achievement completed 5/5 levels. Going at my current rate it should only take me about . . . the rest of my life.
(Until more companions are released, of course. Then it'll take me two lifetimes!)
. . .
But yeah! I shall enjoy my tiny victory while I slog my way through the rest of the Gauntlet achievements.
Also, real talk . . . has anyone managed to make it past the first level of the achievement? If so, how many battles are you averaging a day to be able to pull that off? The RNG is killing me here-
EDIT: I wanted to come in here and kinda update my post with some stats now that I'm halfway through the achievement. It looks like I'm averaging one instance every 2-3 days. Some days I'm even managing to get multiple encounters (usually 3 in a day when this occurs, though I have gotten up to 4).
I'm still just using the Snowloon-Thrasher duo. I tried other combos before them, but had no luck. I'm sure if you stick something out long enough then it's possible to get others. There are some companions that seem to appear much more frequently, though it's difficult keeping track of what companions, if any, that they spawn with more often. I was originally planning on compiling data on companion mobs to see which ones did spawn in more often than others, though it's very likely it's all random RNG with an equal chance for any of them across the board.
Right now, companions from the last two seasonal events are not appearing in the Gauntlet, and it's unclear as to when they will be added, so I really recommend getting your grinding out of the way before they're added into the pool and make things significantly harder!
