Ash doesn't have a use as of now.

But a few trinkets do have uses! Nomad's Lucks, Blue Agates, Liontail Nytha Spines, Fire Opals, the dragon plushies, and Moonlight Roses all have uses, all in Hunting :) They're all used for higher level hunts.
