There is a lot in the announcements with updates.. even after reading it multiple times, people are missing stuff.

At the bottom of a Dev Update, it would nice to have Patch Notes type bullet points with the most basic of info. Its been 4 days and people are STILL finding new stuff daily they missed in the huge walls of text.. an example for the most recent posts would be

Dev Update

• new pebble breed added (Direwolves)
• new pebble genes added (Plain)
• new moonstone genes added (Leopard)
• Direwolf Raffle posted (raffles REALLY need a better notification system for how they are announced vs buried in text - perhaps a banner announcement?)
• adding CA poses coming soon
• Diurewolf PSD files added
• Totem of Whelping (instant birth) item added
• new apparel (Spiked Collar) added - recipes can be found in MM
• new moonstone companions added (Quillara)

Murkwood Event

• tickets acquired through campaign events, releasing wolves, and seasonal activities
• Seasonal Progress updated with lower required activities per level
• retiring items: Epic Bloodmoon Moss set, Vulkira, and Sludgeamander. they can be found in the Muddy Murkwood Cache after the event is over
• new items will be added - Two more Moss Set recolours will be revealed throughout the event.

Retired Items Updated (Icerun Event)

• only Epic versions of the seasonal apparel set and two sets of companions will soft-retire into their Pack-related caches
• This means that only the Epic Frostbite Winter Hunter Set, Cave and Giant Frostspinner, Glistening Crystalapin and Crystalapin will soft-retire from the Icerun seasonal event
• message Quiche#460 to exchange their Icerun pieces for the Epic Frostbite Winter Hunter Set or Icerun Seasonal 2024 Companions until the end of November, 2024. Just send a trade with the Icerun Seasonal set pieces which will be exchanged to the Epic equivalent or Icerun Seasonal Companion requested.
• removed the seasonal activities, “Combine 60 pieces in the seasonal arena” and “Purchase 60 pieces from the seasonal arena shop”

This is a LOT of info packed in and many people do not have the attention span to read all of those paragraphs <3

Wow. I like to think I'm a fairly careful reader, but... I also totally missed that part of the announcement, lol (and a great change I think, as an aside!). Further agreement to this thread's suggestions then. :P Until then, subbing to more threads it is.

I think the issue got exacerbated this time especially because basically 4 things got announced at once. I personally don't really understand why they felt the need to smush it all together. There was really no need (imho) to introduce those new companions AND spikey collars AND the plain genes, while also dropping the event AND the new breed, AND a breed raffle, especially since there was also a weekly update right there that wasn't dropping at the exact same time.

That being said, yes, I think a summary would be nice. I think the combination of full sentence wall of texts with big images and then some tiny single sentence hiddenbetween the images.. it is just a lot thrown at you. So perhaps also structuring the information in an update a bit more carefully, using bullet lists, bigger headings (that stand out more), perhaps some bold here and there for emphasis, and then a summary at the end would do wonders for the readibility of the announcement.

And perhaps a bit less images. Or at least less sentence - image - sentence - image - two sentences - image. Perhaps making the images smaller and combining a couple (preview) images together will also help with readability.
