It's true that all apparel gets layered "over" the wolf image, so backgrounds need to cut out the wolf's outline in order to appear "behind" them. However, depending on your drawing program, there may be a simple shortcut you can use! If you're able to "select layer content" or "create selection from layer" (something like that) for the layers containing the actual wolf image, you should get a selection that's the perfect size & shape of the wolf. Then, you can navigate to the layer(s) with your apparel on it & erase within the selection area to get that perfect cutout. I hope this helps!
Yeahhh… unfortunately they don’t just have a simple “background” layer. It would save a lot of time and effort… there’s genuinely no reason it should be this way.
